Feline diarrhea PCR panel

Test code: P0028 - Feline diarrhea panel. This panel includes qualitative detection and differentiation of the following feline diarrheagenic pathogens using various PCR protocols:

• Feline enteric coronavirus
• Feline panleukopenia virus / Canine parvovirus
• Campylobacter screen
• Clostridium screen
• Cryptosporidium screen
• Giardia screen
• Salmonella screen
• Toxoplasma gondii
• Tritrichomonas

Vets frequently see diarrhea in cats that could be caused by a number of different viral, bacterial or protozoal agents. Treatment and quarantine protocols differ among these pathogens, and can be costly and stressful for animals and owners.

The Zoologix feline diarrhea test panel is a powerful, cost-effective diagnostic tool for use in these cases. Zoologix performs this panel using highly specific and sensitive PCR test protocols to enable rapid, accurate diagnosis.

All nine assays are run from one fecal sample or rectal swab, eliminating multiple sampling requirements.
