Canine respiratory PCR panel

Test code: P0019 - Canine respiratory panel includes qualitative detection and differentiation of the following canine respiratory pathogens using various PCR protocols:

• Bordetella bronchiseptica
• Canine adenovirus type 2
• Canine distemper virus
• Canine herpesvirus
• Canine parainfluenza
• Influenza

Vets frequently see generalized respiratory symptoms in dogs that could be caused by a number of different viral or bacterial agents. Treatment and quarantine protocols differ among these pathogens, and can be costly and stressful for animals and owners.
