Mouse PCR Minipanel

Test code: P0032 - mouse PCR minipanel detects and differentiates the most commonly found pathogens in mouse colonies, using real time PCR and reverse transcription real time PCR protocols:

The Zoologix mouse PCR minipanel is an economical tool for screening for the most common diseases found in rodent facilities.

Please see links above for information on individual assays included in this panel.

Utilities:

  • Confirm disease causing agent(s)
  • Shorten the time required to confirm clinical diagnoses
  • Ensure that mouse facilities are free of the most common pathogens
  • Early prevention of spread of listed pathogens among a mouse facility
  • Minimize human exposure to these pathogens
  • Safety monitoring of biological products that derive from mice

Specimen requirements: Fecal pellet.

For specimen types other than those listed here, please call to confirm specimen acceptability and shipping instructions.

For all specimen types, if there will be a delay in shipping, or during very warm weather, refrigerate specimens until shipped and ship with a cold pack unless more stringent shipping requirements are specified. Frozen specimens should be shipped so as to remain frozen in transit. See shipping instructions for more information.

Turnaround time: 2 business days

Methodology: Qualitative real time PCR and qualitative reverse transcription coupled real time PCR

Normal range: Nondetected
