Mouse fecal PCR panel

Test code: P0023 - mouse fecal PCR panel detects and differentiates the following murine enteric pathogens using various PCR protocols:

The Zoologix mouse fecal test panel is a powerful, cost-effective diagnostic tool for enteric disease screening in rodent facilities. Zoologix performs this panel using individual, highly specific, fast, sensitive PCR test protocols.

Please see links above for information on individual assays included in this panel. If testing for pathogens not on this panel is also required, other assay combinations are available as a build-your-own panel. Contact Zoologix for details.

Utilities:

  • Confirm disease causing agent(s)
  • Shorten the time required to confirm clinical diagnoses
  • Ensure that vivariums are free of listed pathogens
  • Early prevention of spread of listed pathogens among a vivarium
  • Minimize human exposure to these pathogens
  • Safety monitoring of biological products that derive from mice

Specimen requirements: 1 fecal pellet.

For specimen types other than those listed here, please call to confirm specimen acceptability and shipping instructions.

For all specimen types, if there will be a delay in shipping, or during very warm weather, refrigerate specimens until shipped and ship with a cold pack unless more stringent shipping requirements are specified. Frozen specimens should be shipped so as to remain frozen in transit. See shipping instructions for more information.

Turnaround time: 3 business days

Methodology: Qualitative PCR, qualitative real time PCR and qualitative reverse transcription coupled real time PCR

Normal range: Nondetected
