Mouse Essentials Panel - real time PCR

Test code: P0029 - This mouse colony screening panel detects the following murine pathogens:

• Mouse norovirus (MNV)
• Mouse parvovirus (detects but does not differentiate MPV 1/2/3/4/5) and Mouse minute virus (MMV, also known as MVM)
• Mouse hepatitis virus (MHV)
• Reovirus screen (detects and differentiates REO-1, REO-2 and REO-3)
• Lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus (LCMV)
• Lactate dehydrogenase-elevating virus (LDV)
• Mouse rotavirus (MRV, also known as "epizootic diarrhea of infant mice" or EDIM)
• Theiller's murine encephalomyelitis (TMEV)
• Ectromelia (ECTRO, also known as mousepox virus)
• Hantavirus (HANTA)
• Polyoma virus (POLY)
• Mouse adenovirus (detects and differentiates MAD1 and MAD2, also known as MAV1 and MAV2)
• Sendai virus (SEND)
• Mycoplasma pulmonis
• Pneumonia virus of mice (PVM)

Specimen requirements: 1 fecal pellet + 0.2 ml whole blood in EDTA (purple top) tube or on a Zoologix dry card.

For all specimen types, if there will be a delay in shipping, or during very warm weather, refrigerate specimens until shipped and ship with a cold pack unless more stringent shipping requirements are specified.
