Canine anemia PCR panel
dog and cat assay data sheet
Canine
anemia PCR panel
NOTE: THIS PANEL IS NOT PERFORMED ON
SAMPLES TAKEN FROM RUMINANTS OWNED OR LOCATED IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA.
Test code:
P0039 - Qualitative
detection and differentiation of the following canine anemia
pathogens using real time PCR protocols:
Vets sometimes see anemia in dogs that could be caused by a number
of different agents. Treatment and quarantine
protocols differ among these pathogens, and can be costly and
stressful for animals and owners.
The Zoologix
canine anemia test panel is a powerful, cost-effective diagnostic
tool for use in these cases. Zoologix performs this panel using highly
specific and sensitive PCR test protocols to enable rapid, accurate
diagnosis.
All five assays
are run from one EDTA whole blood sample, eliminating multiple sampling
requirements.
Utilities:
-
Help confirm the pathogen causing anemia in dogs
-
Selection of appropriate treatment regimen
-
Shorten the time required to confirm a clinical
diagnosis
-
Help ensure that dog populations are free of listed
pathogens
-
Early prevention of spread of listed pathogens
-
Minimize human exposure to listed pathogens
-
Safety monitoring of biological products that derive
from susceptible animals
Specimen requirement: 0.5 ml EDTA whole blood
